FAQ

Common Questions

Is the Fan Festival really free?
Yes — entry to the Fan Festival grounds is completely free every day. You can walk in, watch match screenings on the giant screens, enjoy the Park Stage, food, and interactive experiences without paying anything. The only paid option is reserved seating in the Amphitheatre for headline concerts. A limited number of GA lawn spots in the Amphitheatre are also free but first-come, first-served.
Do I need a ticket to watch the games on the big screens?
No ticket required for match screenings. The giant screens throughout the grounds are free to watch. Just show up, find a good spot, and enjoy the game. Arrive earlier on Canada match days — crowds are expected to be enormous.
How do I get reserved concert tickets?
Tickets for reserved amphitheatre seating are available through TicketLeader.ca. Public tickets went on sale April 2, 2026. Some shows are already selling fast — check TicketLeader for availability and pricing for individual nights.
Can I still get the free GA lawn spots for concerts?
Yes, a limited number of free General Admission lawn spots are available at the Amphitheatre each night. These are first-come, first-served — no ticket needed, but the gates will close once capacity is reached. For big shows (Metric, Arkells, Kaytranada), plan to arrive 60–90 minutes early. For quieter mid-week nights, 30 minutes early is usually enough.
What's the best transit option?
The Expo Line SkyTrain to Renfrew Station is the fastest option — then either walk 10–15 min east along Hastings or catch Bus 14/16 for 2 stops to the PNE entrance. On match days at BC Place, thousands of people are on transit — give yourself extra time. Avoid driving if you can; parking fills fast.
Is this the same as the PNE Summer Fair?
No — these are separate events. The FIFA Fan Festival runs June 11 – July 19, 2026 and is focused on the World Cup. The PNE Summer Fair (rides, exhibits, food) runs its usual late August dates (roughly Aug 22 – Sep 1). The Fan Festival uses the PNE's amphitheatre and grounds during the tournament window.
Is it family-friendly?
Yes — the Fan Festival is an all-ages event. Families with kids are very welcome. The grounds have a wide range of activities beyond just concerts. Evening concerts may run late, so plan accordingly if coming with young children.
